Job Title: Contract Administrator

Job Summary

The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing the lifecycle of contracts from creation and review through execution, compliance, and renewal. This role ensures contracts align with organizational policies, legal requirements, and business objectives while minimizing risk and supporting stakeholders across departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and administer contracts, amendments, renewals, and related documentation
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records in contract management systems
  • Coordinate contract approvals with legal, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders
  • Monitor contract compliance, deadlines, performance obligations, and renewal dates
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks and issues
  • Support negotiations by tracking changes, redlines, and approvals
  • Ensure contracts adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external contract-related inquiries
  • Prepare reports related to contract status, compliance, and performance
  • Assist with audits and contract performance reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, clauses, and lifecycle management
  • Experience working with legal, finance, or procurement teams
  • Proficiency with contract management tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., IT, healthcare, construction, government, or finance)
  • Familiarity with contract law principles and compliance standards
  • Experience supporting vendor, supplier, or customer agreements
  • Certification such as CPCM, CFCM, or similar (a plus)
